Setting up virtual hosts with XAMPP is easy. Before we dive into it, I would like to inform the beginners that a virtual host is a second instance of a web server on the same physical box to host additional web sites. It is referred as shared hosting. Usually it is part of the CIW program at ABCO Technology. Although, your local XAMPP server will still work even if virtual hosts are not configured. Creating a blog website using PHP and MySQL can be rather interesting.
